Peugeot unveils new 3008 SUV GT and GT line range-topping versions

Just weeks after a world premiere unveiling in Paris, Peugeot has presented the new GT Line and GT versions of the new Peugeot 3008 SUV.

The GT version crowns the new Peugeot 3008 SUV range, exclusively equipped with a 2.0 litre BlueHDi 180bhp S&S EAT6 automatic powertrain and boasting Peugeot’s two-tone Coupe Franche paint design as an option. A GT Line version blends more affordable engines with the top-of-the-range looks. The new Peugeot 3008 GT and GT Line will be available from launch at the end of 2016.

Aimed at real car connoisseurs, the new 3008 GT delivers a sportier exterior look along with even more performance and driving pleasure. An exclusive chequered chrome radiator grille, distinctive front bumper, full LED headlights, double chrome exhaust pipes, aluminium roof bars, flared wheel arches, and 19” tyres are combined with two-tone diamond-cut Boston wheel rims.

A panoramic opening black glass roof with electric interior blind and blue ambient lighting, as standard, can be matched to an optional Coupe Franche paint design combining platinum grey, amazonite grey, and metallic copper colours. The 2.0 litre BlueHDi 180bhp S&S EAT6 automatic six-speed gearbox is the most powerful engine in the range, providing even more intense driving pleasure.

Inside, the choice of materials, including alcantara or leather, fine copper stitching, and genuine aged-oak trim on the dashboard and door panels, make a significant contribution to the level of luxury and perceived quality in the passenger compartment. The meticulous attention to detail on the part of the designers of the GT version has produced something extremely refined and elegant.

The new Peugeot i-Cockpit, standard from level one Access models, delivers a futuristic appearance to the driver compartment. The steering wheel is even more compact than before and has two flats to make it easier to grip. A large 8” touch-screen in the centre of the dashboard is accompanied by six elegant piano-key toggle switches, giving direct access to the main control functions: radio, climate control, navigation, vehicle parameters, and phone applications.

Two pre-set themes satisfy a dynamic driving style or a gentler driving style. The Driver Sport Pack can be enabled to offer a firmer and more responsive power steering and accelerator pedal mapping with enhanced engine and gearbox response.

The new 3008 SUV GT Line takes exterior and interior style cues from the level five GT version, sporting the GT Line logo on the front wings and rear tailgate, a specific front bumper with full LED lights and GT radiator grille, stainless steel quarter light finishers and weatherstrips, chrome double exhaust pipe, 18” alloys, gloss black door mirror shells (chrome on GT ), the black panoramic roof as standard, and the option of the Coupe Franche paint design.

Pricing for the new 3008 SUV GT Line and GT versions in Ireland will be announced towards the end of 2016.
