Don’t suffer in silence!

IBS Awareness Day at McGorisks Pharmacy, Athlone

There's something about digestive problems that makes them very difficult to discuss, which is why over half of us suffer in silence. Help is at hand as TV3's Gut Check dietitian Caoimhe McDonald will be hosting an IBS awareness day, supported by Alflorex, at McGorisks Pharmacy, Athlone Towncentre on Friday, June 10 from 1.30-5.30pm.

IBS is a chronic, often debilitating, functional gastrointestinal disorder with symptoms that include abdominal pain, bloating, constipation and/or diarrhoea. It is the most common gastrointestinal condition worldwide and the most common disorder presented by patients consulting a gastroenterologist.

Alflorex is a PrecisionBiotic product, classified as a food supplement, which contains the unique 35624® culture. This culture was researched and co-developed by scientists, clinicians, and gastroenterologists at Alimentary Health Ltd and the APC Microbiome Institute at University College Cork, one of the world’s leading institutions in the human microbiome and gut health.

The 35624 culture has been clinically studied in IBS patients and shown to improve abdominal discomfort, passage of gas, bloating/distension, and bowel habit satisfaction.
