Blackberry Hearing was established to address the high price of hearing aids in Ireland.
Blackberry Hearing is making quality hearing aids much more affordable and is adding numerous clinics across the country as demand increases. The company offers its customers the option of a free hearing test at home or by booking into a clinic held in a partner pharmacy.
There is no need to pay exorbitant prices for hearing aids any more. Blackberry Hearing aids are €399 for one, or €799 for a pair with the grant. They are modern, high quality, digital hearing aids made by Widex in Denmark, one of the top six makers of hearing aids in the world and well renowned for the quality of its products.
The transparent pricing of the product is a deliberate and key policy decision by Blackberry Hearing. This is in contrast to many other hearing aid suppliers where there is a policy of providing no pricing information or upselling to higher prices after testing. In stark contrast, Blackberry Hearing customers enthuse about the price, quality, and particularly the standard of service they have received.
John Ryan, who co-founded the company with Dave Gleeson, said: “We are encouraging our customers to share their new-found hearing experience. Our customers tell us how much of a difference their new affordable, quality hearing aids are making to their lives and they are passing on the message to friends and family.”
Michael Ormonde, a recent customer from Newbridge, said: “I would highly recommend Blackberry Hearing from a service point of view. They managed everything and responded quickly all the time. The first thing I noticed, however, was the price. I was amazed at the price and having worn the hearing aid for some time the quality is even better than [the much more expensive] hearing aids I’ve had before.”
Clinics across the country, from Roscommon Town to Cloughjordan in Tipperary, are booking out. Customers are telling their neighbours not only about the value and quality but also about Blackberry Hearing’s unique customer care.
The local clinic operating out of Rosmed Pharmacy in Roscommon town has been booked out since it started in September last year based on positive customer experiences.
