Moate Partnership Group held its St Patrick’s Day awards presentation last Friday night in Don’s Bar, Moate.
The chairman of Moate Partnership Group, Cllr Michael O’Brien, thanked the parade committee, the Partnership Group, volunteers and everyone who entered a float and attended what was a very successful event earlier this year.
The prizewinners on the night were: Moate Men’s Shed won the award for Best Overall Float; Don’s Bar was awarded the prize for Most Entertaining Float; the award for Most Creative Float went to Moate Show; Best Business Float went to Mackey Landscapes; the Committee Prize was awarded to Strictly Moate Dancing Group; Best Voluntary Group went to Dun Na Si Amenity and Heritage Park; and Best Shop Window went to Kev’s Thrift Shop.
