Afternoon Tea is a unique experience at Wineport Lodge given that it’s served up in the property’s wonderful Lakeshore Lounge surrounded by the waters of Lough Ree. Perched at the end of a walkway surrounded by the lake waters, the Lakeshore Lounge is all about enjoying laid back, rustic luxury while soaking up the beautiful scenic surrounds. Think crackling stoves, cosy throws, and soft cushions while admiring the lake and its resident birdlife, all from the privacy of your very own lakeshore retreat. It’s a unique way to spoil your Mum this Mother’s Day.
The Afternoon Tea menu features a tasty array of freshly made, open gourmet sandwiches served on homemade sourdough and brown bread - choose from smoked salmon, cucumber and fennel; pastrami and celeriac remoulade; or smoked Ardrahan cheese, tomato and pepper relish. Freshly baked scones are served with traditional clotted cream and preserves, along with deliciously tempting sweet treats of the day - sticky toffee pudding, vanilla custard, or chocolate and raspberry tartlet anyone? These mouth-watering treats are washed down with your choice of tea - choose from camomile, fresh mint, green, or Earl Grey - or freshly brewed coffee… though seeing as it’s Mother’s Day you might want to treat your Mum to a glass of bubbly!
Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12-4pm. Prior bookings of at least 24 hours are recommended to ensure your preferred date and time. Coeliac and gluten-free options are available too.
