It’s a busy weekend at The Snug Bar, with a cocktail of musical entertainment and sport that will get the adrenalin pumping!
Friday night, February 19 kicks off with Toxic Twins at 10pm. This duo on drums and guitar have a wide repertoire of songs from acts such as Bruno Mars, The Police, Temper Trap, Lumineers, The Knack, Undertones, Talking Heads, U2, Bob Marley, Kings of Leon, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, The Killers, Blondie, and many more.
On Saturday, sports fans can catch Dublin v Galway in the hurling on the big screen at 7pm, with popular band Strung Out to follow at 10pm. Strung Out are a three-piece acoustic band from Galway who play a unique blend of exceptional covers. This versatile and talented band always deliver an intriguing and hugely entertaining performance. Music lovers are in for a real treat.
It’s a sporting Sunday on February 21 at The Snug. There’s more hurling with Kilkenny v Tipperary at 2pm, followed by soccer with Chelsea v Man City at 4pm.
Crooked Jacks are there to round off the weekend from 9pm. They are a well-established ballad/ folk group from the Midlands who have played in top venues in London, New York, and Amsterdam. Their influences are The Dubliners, Dublin City Ramblers, The Pogues, Mumford and Sons, and The Clancys. Crooked Jacks always deliver a very upbeat and varied performance that never fails to hit the spot.
