If you are looking for a fun night out, Tullamore Musical Society’s show, Witches of Eastwick, is a must see. This sexy musical comedy features a large cast including some of your favourite Westmeath natives.
The musical is based on the novel by John Updike and the film starring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon, and Michelle Pfeiffer, and TMS are delighted to bring it to stage in Tullamore GAA Centre from Saturday, February 13.
The lead part of Darryl Van Horne is played by AIMS nominee and Mullingar native Chris Corroon who has played the lead for Athlone Musical Society in Grease and was nominated for a best comedian award last year for his portrayal of Chad in the TMS musical All Shook Up.
Niamh O’Shea from Mullingar and Amanda Cunningham from Rochfortbridge play two of the modern-day witches in the show who innocently conjure a heady brew of weak martinis and peanut butter brownies, with fellow witch Sukie played by Sinead Handy.
Chris is also joined on stage by Ultan Keena, owner of Ultimate Image Hair Salon in Moate, who plays the part of Michael Spofford, and Mark Mulligan from Athlone in his first-ever musical performance playing Darryl Van Horne’s man servant.
If you would like to support some local talent, please take a little trip to Tullamore this February.
