As the Midlands’ newest wedding destination, the Sheraton Athlone Hotel has established itself as a leading venue to consider for your wedding day.
To highlight this, the Sheraton will host its annual Wedding Fair on Sunday February 15 from 2-6pm. The wedding fair also coincides with the final day of the Sheraton Athlone Hotel’s exclusive Wedding Sale.
The Hoey Suite, twinkling in all the glory of it’s Niamh Barry Chandeliers, will be home to some of the Midlands’ top wedding vendors alongside a food and beverage auditorium displaying a range of cuisine throughout the day. Kevin Ward, executive head chef at the Sheraton, will be offering tasters from the Sheraton’s very own wedding menu.
The hotel has all angles covered for bride and grooms-to-be, with hair consultations from award-winning stylists Medussa, beauty consults and fitness regimes from the Sheraton’s very own Sirana Urban Spa and Sheraton Fitness, wedding rings from Bernard Dunne, and wedding cakes, all under the one roof.
To keep everyone entertained whilst browsing through the exhibitors, the hotel has organised a wide range of music to set the tone, with over six acts to keep you entertained throughout the day including Irish dancers from Real & Rhythm.
A Touch of Class will highlight its top bridal wear for 2009 and 2010, with Athlone Towncentre showcasing a range of occasional wear.
Pearse Minnock, the Midlands’ most renowned wedding coordinator, will be on hand for advice and tips on the day. Having booked her own wedding at the hotel, Pearse is the ideal candidate for knowledgeable advice.
“We want people to have a great day out so we’ve planned a great line up in entertainment and something different in our offerings. The management and I will also be on hand throughout the day to discuss dates, menus and any other queries.”
As Sunday sees the close of the Sheraton’s Exclusive Wedding Sale on selected dates throughout 2009, 2010, and 2011, the staff and management will be more than happy to discuss a tailor-made package for each bride and groom. Each package will encompass a combination of the following offerings with compliments: red and white wine with your banquet meal; delicious hot and cold canapés on arrival; drinks reception on arrival; evening buffet; crisp white chair covers with coordinated sashes, and more.
