Insulate your home with the Midland Warmer Home Scheme

Midland Warmer Homes Scheme is delivering a Better Energy Warmer Homes initiative to homeowners/landlords (excluding council houses ) who have not previously availed of any grants from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI ) for houses built before 2006.

The insulation works that can be availed of include attic insulation, cold water tank insulation, pipe insulation, attic walk board, cavity wall insulation, ventilation, and building energy ratings. The homeowner applies to Midland Warmer Homes and a survey is then carried out. A surveyor will advise what works can be installed in the house and what grants are available, and if the homeowner wishes to proceed with the work a consent form is then signed.

Midland Warmer Homes will then submit the application to the SEAI for grant approval. On approval, a works order is received by Warmer Homes and installation works can proceed. The homeowner signs that the works are completed and the grant is applied for from the SEAI.

The grant amounts available are as follows: €300 for attic insulation; €300 for cavity wall; and €50 for a BER grant. The cost to the owner of a four-bedroom semi-detached house would be approximately €500 after the grants, and the cost for a three-bedroom semi-detached would be €400. All prices are subject to the site survey and measurements for quotes. All paperwork is completed by the dedicated staff at Warmer Homes.
