A meeting is to take place in Ballinahown Hall next Monday night, November 23, at 8pm.
The meeting is being held to discuss setting up a text alert system for the Fardrum, Kilgarvan, Ballinahown, Clonaderrig, Bloomhill, Rashina, Doon, and Castledaly areas, and is being organised by local Councillor John Dolan.
Councillor Dolan said: “We had a talk from the Gardaí in the spring and a lot of people have expressed an interest in setting up a Text Alert System in the area. It is vital that we organise to combat crime in rural Ireland, and hopefully this meeting will get a Text Alert set up in our area.”
