All-new Audi A4 on the way next month

The all-new Audi A4 will be launched in Ireland next month with an entry level price of €35,800 on the road.

Audi Ireland says that the new A4 now comes with three equipment lines: Attraction, SE, and S Line. It also says that xenon headlights will feature as standard on all models. The SE prices start at €37,750, and the German carmaker says that it will feature additional premium upgrades like Twin leather, navigation system and cruise control.

S Line additional equipment includes 18” alloy wheels, sports suspension, and leather Alcantara sports seats, with prices starting at €41,250. Looking at it from the front, horizontal lines and the wrap-around hood emphasise the car’s width, with a noticeably broader and lower single frame grille. For the first time, each individual equipment line will have different styled bumpers to further highlight the individual trims.

The Attraction line model has 17” ten-spoke alloys as standard, while SE and S Line versions upgrade to 17” parallel five-spoke and 18” ten-spoke v-design alloys, respectively. The new A4 will be launched with six engines: two TFSI (petrol engines ) and four TDI (diesels ) conforming to EU6 emissions standards, free of the current scandal affecting the brand.

Audi claims that their power output has increased significantly over the previous model and ranges, from 150hp to 272hp, but fuel consumption has been reduced by up to 21 per cent. The A4 2.0 TDI ultra has a claimed fuel consumption of just 3.7 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres (or 76 mpg ), with CO2 emissions of 95 grams per kilometre.

It also says that thanks to lightweight construction and an intelligent material mix, the all-new Audi A4 is now up to 120kg lighter than the previous model, making it the lightest and most fuel efficient in its class.

The all-new Audi A4 SE and S Line trims feature an optional technology pack priced from €2,500, which includes MMI navigation plus, the Audi virtual cockpit and Audi connect, allowing passengers to go online via an on-board Wi-Fi hotspot with elegant and intuitive controls.

An optional business package from €2,100 is also to be offered. Audi says that it features driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, Audi lane assist, front and rear parking sensors, and high beam assist for a smoother and safer driving experience.
