Athlone Chamber is to host an interactive business workshop entitled ‘Leading for Survival’ on Wednesday, February 11 at the Athlone Springs Hotel.
This event, held in conjunction with LEAP, one of Ireland’s leading business advisory companies, is designed to provide business owners and senior management with very practical tools for immediate improved personal and business performance. The main speakers are Mike Gaffney of LEAP, and Louis Campion of Business Focus.
The event is open to all business owners, leaders, and senior managers in the Athlone region. There is no charge to attend, but places are limited to 12 so early booking is essential. The workshop is facilitative in nature, and participants will complete practical exercises focused on their particular situation.
“Change is difficult for us all, and to help businesses cope with the new business environment they find themselves in we have organised this workshop with LEAP, who have a proven track record in assisting companies in very practical ways,” said Aengus O’Rourke, president of Athlone Chamber.
“At the ‘Leading for Survival’ workshop, you will learn what you need to change, both personally and for your company; and how to deliver these effective changes immediately.”
Managing director of LEAP, Mike Gaffney, added that businesses must take immediate action to address their new situation. “In these critical times, business owners have to accept the new, unpleasant reality they find themselves in. They must then do two things: take immediate focused action that will address their current situation, and provide leadership to their people by developing a clear game plan for the company’s survival and development.
The workshop is free of charge to participants, and refreshments will be available. Places, limited to 12, will be filled on a first come first served basis.
The Athlone Chamber ‘Leading for Survival’ workshop takes place on Wednesday, February 11 from 5.30pm to 8pm at the Athlone Springs Hotel, Athlone.
