Adult Learners’ Festival 2009 information road show

Westmeath VEC Adult Education Service is bringing its information road show around the county in February to mark the Aontas Adult Learners Festival 2009. The Adult Learners Festival is celebrated on a national basis throughout the country and is organised primarily by local learners in conjunction with their VECs. The information road show will be headed by the Literacy Service, VTOS, Back to Education Initiative, Community Education, and the Guidance Service.

On Wednesday February 4 the information road show will be in Collinstown Community Hall from 10am to 12.30pm. If you are unemployed, or thinking of returning to part-time education, come along to find a course to suit you. On Thursday February 5 the information road show will be in Rochfortbridge Community Hall from 10.30am to 1pm. Information will be available on different programmes already on offer locally and those proposed for 2009. Various local community groups will be also present with information stands. On Friday February 6 the road show will be in St Kieran’s Community Centre, Athlone from 10am to 1pm. There will also be a number of other local agencies present.
