Bleak news on the jobs front this week was compounded by the announcement that employees of Trend Technologies, Mullingar are to have their working week reduced to four days.
Over 100 people are employed at the Mullingar plant, based in the Mullingar Business Park.
Management at the plant is hopeful that the four-day week will be a temporary measure and that full working hours can be resumed soon when new contracts come into effect.

The company develops medical devices and plastic components for the healthcare pharmaceutical, automotive, and IT/Telecoms industries.
