Over 1,000 lots will be offered for sale at the upcoming spring sale at Galway Auction Rooms in Kilcolgan starting at 11am on Saturday April 4 with viewing on Friday April 3 from 11am-8pm and Saturday morning from 10am.
A wide and varied catalogue stretches from the contents of a jewellery shop to a recently closed physiotherapy practice. Not forgetting a quantity of fine antique items which are being offered for charity - the proceeds of which will be donated by the vendor to the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Amongst this consigment is a fine quality Art Nouveau Display Cabinet estimated to be priced between €1,000 - €2,000; a quality Inlaid Edwardian Wardrobe priced between €600-€800; a pair of brass chandaliers priced between €1,000-€2,000; among other interesting items. There are also three massage tables with various fittings from the clinic. The jewellery shop contents includes many items of horological interest including clock cases, movements, etc.
Amongst other consignments for the sale are the contents of a house in Oughterard with various antique pine pieces including a dresser, kitchen table, coffer and a larder cupbaord. There is a suite of Waterford Glass, a Chesterfield suite, dining tables, sideboards, mirrors, wardrobes, bedroom furniture, three-door Victorian mahogany library bookcase, paintings, silver, jewellery, and more.
