A Wilde weekend in Fermanagh

The inaugural ‘A Wilde Weekend’ festival will take place on the May Day bank holiday weekend across venues in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. The festival, dedicated to the life and works of Oscar Wilde, will include Wildean-related art forms such as theatre, literary talks, prose-theatre, poetry-theatre, the decorative arts, the domestic arts, music, film, readings and storytelling, and celebrations of walled gardens.

The headline event of the festival will be the gilding of the Cole’s Monument statue, the inspiration for Wilde’s The Happy Prince short fable.
