If you are newly engaged or planing your wedding in the coming months or years, or indeed if you’re a fan of good locally sourced food, the Grand Hotel, Moate is the place to be this Saturday March 28.
The hotel is hosting a wedding showcase and food and wine tasting evening on Saturday, and all are welcome to come along and see what’s on offer.
Brides and grooms-to-be are invited to come along from 5pm to check out the wedding packages on offer. The ballroom will be set up for a wedding, and head chef Mark Hewitt is preparing a taster menu with samples of some of the starter and main course dishes, canapés, desserts, and wines all on offer.

What’s more, if you book your wedding at the Grand Hotel on Saturday, you will be entered in a draw for a complimentary wine package for your wedding.
Food and wine tasting
A food and wine tasting evening in association with Shane Maher Butchers takes place from 7pm on Saturday, with a guest appearance from Denis Molloy of Inistioge (as seen on RTÉ’s Nationwide ). Enjoy samples from the breakfast, carvery, steakhouse, and family dining menus, all prepared by head chef Mark and his team. There will be music, entertainment, spot prizes, raffles, and lots more, so come along and join in the fun!
