The Castletown Geoghegan branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóiri Éireann are the hosts of this year’s Westmeath Fleadh Cheoil and will be hosting a fleadh fundraising gala concert on Friday April 10 at 8pm in St Michael’s Church, Castletown Geoghegan. Tickets are priced at €10 and are on sale from committee members, from Westmeath CCÉ branches, and from Claffey’s Shop and the Post Office in Castletown Geoghegan along with Streamstown Post Office.
The concert will showcase an array of talented traditional Irish musicians, singers, and dancers with most of the performers from County Westmeath along with some special guests. The line-up will include All Ireland champions from Castletown Geoghegan: Colin Nea, Kathryn Nea, and Colin Hogg along with Mick Foster, Noel Battle and Friends, Colm Keane and The Quarter Mile, Folk and Traditional Irish group Wagon Wheel, sean nós dancer Laura Kelly, Derravaragh (Westmeath CCÉ youth group ), Westmeath CCÉ branches, and many more!
The 2015 Westmeath Fleadh Cheoil will take place from May 15-17 in Castletown Geoghegan.
