The first half marathon of the year for Westmeath was launched last weekend by RTÉ presenter Kathryn Thomas.
Taking place in Mullingar on St Patrick’s Day the event will add a new exciting aspect to March 17 celebrations as well as helping to raise vital awareness and funds for chosen charity ISPCC Childline.
The half marathon organising committee are committed to creating a fun, enjoyable, and well organised race that will become a firm fixture on the racing calendar every year. It is also hoped that this inaugural event will help raise significant funds for Childline, Ireland’s only 24-hour listening service for young people across Ireland.
Entries to the Mullingar Half Marathon are coming in fast and it is promising to be an incredible event. Registration is still open at www.precisiontiming.net where runners can avail of the special online entry fee of €30.
