This Thursday night February 19 is retro night at The Snug Bar, with The Retronauts providing a blast from the past with a modern twist! This Dublin band perform a quirky mix of funk, disco, rock and reggae hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and today, and they are influenced by artists as diverse as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Aretha Franklin to Chic, Prince, and Diana Ross.
Friday February 20 sees the return of drums and guitar duo Toxic Twins. This rock/pop covers band will satisfy even the most demanding music enthusiasts with their wide repertoire of songs from acts such as The Police, Temper Trap, Talking Heads, U2, Bob Marley, Kings of Leon, Bruno Mars, The Killers, Blondie, and many more. The Toxic Twins always impress with the quality of their performance, with many onlookers commenting that their covers are often better than the originals. Catch them in The Snug from 10pm.
Chason and Declan of Reigning Day are no strangers to The Snug Bar, and they’re back this Saturday February 21. They have gained a reputation for creating a great pub atmosphere which will have everyone joining in with the craic. DJ Jamie will also be on hand, setting the mood in the beer garden.
For Super Snug Sunday on Sunday February 22, The Snug Bar are happy to welcome Junkyard Geordies at 7pm. Ben and Dave from Newcastle upon Tyne are professional musicians, known for their exceptional talent and both former members of the renowned Jukebox Gypsy. Their music is a mix of folk/rock and pop.
Later at 9.30pm, catch Crooked Jacks live. This well-established ballad/folk group from the Midlands have played in top venues in London, New York, and Amsterdam. Their influences are The Dubliners, Dublin City Ramblers, Creedence Clearwater, The Pogues, Mumford and Sons, and The Clancys
