The festive season is definitely in full swing, and there’s no better place to be than The Snug!
Tonight, Thursday December 11 renowned local musicians Jock and Dave take to the stage to play a wide range of songs to suit all musical tastes from the old classics to the current chart toppers.
Playing on Friday December 12 are acoustic two-piece Arcane Moon who play popular cover versions. With a strong emphasis on musicianship, Arcane Moon tackle the songs that others don’t. “We call it ‘acoustic with edge’,” offers lead guitarist Eamon O’Neill.
Another firm favourite taking to the stage on Saturday night, December 13, are White Mansions. This energetic duo from Mullingar play a wide range of material. Their set list spans six decades of great music with a variety of hits that will satisfy all tastes. With soaring vocal harmonies and exciting musical arrangements this two-piece band always keep the crowd entertained through the night. DJ Jamie will also be playing in the beer garden.
Sunday nights are always poplular at The Snug, and on December 14 Acoustic 2 play. They are an acoustic cover band playing a wide variety of music, both old and new. You can expect a very lively performance that always gets the crowd involved. Following them is Reigning Day - Chason and Declan from Castlerea are no strangers to The Snug Bar and have gained a reputation for creating a great pub atmosphere which will have everyone joining in with the craic.
Music continues next Wednesday night, December 17, when party-goers will have an opportunity to catch drum and guitar duo Dave and Eric, known as the Toxic Twins. This rock/pop covers band always impress with the quality of their performance with many onlookers commenting that their covers are often better than the originals.
