Set in the idyllic setting of Glasson Country House Hotel on Sunday January 4, the Little Black Dress Luncheon is the perfect Christmas present for the special ladies in all of our lives. The luncheon, in aid of Midlands Simon Community, is the perfect excuse for ladies to dress up in their favourite black number, on a day traditionally known to be the woman of the house’s only day off in the year, and a chance for the ladies to recuperate after the busy festive season.
The Little Black Dress themed luncheon begins with a drinks reception at 3pm, with a four-course lunch served overlooking Lough Ree at 3.30pm. Irish best-selling author Cathy Kelly is special guest on the day. Cathy is the UNICEF Ireland ambassador and is also known for her influential words on empowering women through her books and public speaking.
Ladies are urged to have a bit of fun with the Little Black Dress theme by adding a splash of yellow to their outfits, as quirky, classy, or simplistic as they would like - all with the intention of incorporating the Simon trademark colours. Celtic Roots, Ballinahown, have designed a beautiful piece which will be presented to the winner of the most unique splash of yellow on the day. Local band Streetwise will provide musical entertainment after lunch.
Make a night of it as Glasson Country House Hotel have kindly agreed a special B&B rate for anyone who would like to stay. Call the hotel directly to book a room.
Ultimate Image Hair Salon in Moate have kindly offered to open on the day, kicking off the day of luxury with a wash and blow-dry for €15 or up-style for €20, with all proceeds going to Midlands Simon Community. To book an appointment, please call (090 ) 6482267.
This is a great opportunity for Midlands Simon to show the public that they are very proud of the work they do.
