This Christmas the Athlone Advertiser is yet again looking for young artists to get involved in the Christmas Art Competition.
This is a chance for children up to sixth class to show off their artistic talents - with the winning piece becoming the front page of the Christmas edition of the Athlone Advertiser - delivering to over 12,000 homes and businesses across the Midlands.
The winning entries will also take pride of place in the Luan Gallery over the Christmas period, with a festive display on the ground floor of the gallery facing out onto the Shannon for passersby to see.
The Advertiser and Luan Gallery would like to invite members of the public to visit the Luan Gallery over the Christmas period and see the art competition winners who have worked so hard at creating their pieces of art.
If that’s not enough, winners of all categories will be invited to an awards ceremony in January where they will receive prizes, kindly sponsored by local businesses.
This year’s theme is ‘Animals at Christmas’, so whether that’s a drawing of a robin in your garden, or your pet dog snoozing under the Christmas tree, we want to see all your ideas.
For more information see our Christmas Art Competition ad on page 8, or call the office on (090 ) 6470920.
The closing date for entries is next Monday December 8.
Good luck!
