The Samaritans 23rd annual Christmas festival concert will be held in the Franciscan Friary Church, Athlone on Thursday December 11 at 8pm.
It will feature the Army Band, conductor Coy Sgt Terry Donovan popular Midlands based-baritone Simon Casey, Moate Community School Choir, Athlone Pipe Band, and the compere on the night will be RTÉ’s Cathal Murray.
The soloist on the night will be baritone Simon Casey, who was very well received when he last appeared at the Samaritan Concert five years ago. He is a professional musician who will launch his new album On Song as part of the Samaritan Christmas Concert 2014.
He has released a string of singles over the past few years, but this will be his first album release since 2007. It is a 15-track album, full of big ballads, show-stopping musical hits, rock anthems, and choral classics. Simon is confident that people will feel uplifted listening to the album.
There is a great vocal treat in store for all who attend the concert.
