Agatha Christie classic opens at Athlone Little Theatre

One of Agatha Christie’s best ever thrillers opened last night at Athlone Little Theatre and will continue to run until October 8.

Witness for the Prosecution is a fantastic example of Christie’s unrivalled ability to hold the audience in the palm of her hand and keep them guessing right to the very end. She is undoubtedly the master when it comes to plot twists and turns and all her skill is on display with this production.

Director Mel O’Flynn has been working tirelessly with her cast over the past couple of months and the result is surely going to grip Athlone audiences. Did he do it? No one knows! The audience will have to wait until the end or will they figure it out? This is the joy of watching an Agatha Christie masterpiece.

With a stellar cast and a dedicated and hardworking crew such as Geoff Boles, Bronagh Connolly, John Allen, Peter Martin, Olivia Grogan, Anthony Quinn, Mel has put together a memorable show. The set is superb as the audience is transported to a 1950s English courtroom.
