Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a bookmakers in Kilbeggan was subject to a break-in in the early hours of Tuesday morning this week.
The Garda investigation into the nature of the break-in is ongoing, and they have not yet revealed details of whether anything was stolen from the premises.
However, substantial damage was caused to a part of the premises as the perpetrators attempted to gain access.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with any information, or who may have seen any suspicious activity in the town, to contact them immediately.
Locals are particularly reminded that the culprits may have been in the vicinity for several hours prior to the incident, which occurred at approximately 4.30am last Tuesday, January 13.
