County Enterprise award winners to be announced next week

The winners of this year’s Westmeath County Enterprise Awards will be announced next Tuesday September 30 in the Radisson Blu.

Also during the public and business information event, Here to Help Small Business, the overall winner of the prestigious Local Enterprise Office Westmeath County Enterprise Business Award will be announced.

The overall winner will advance to the regional final and eight finalists (county winners ) will be chosen by an independent panel of adjudicators to go forward to the National Enterprise Awards final.

The short-listed businesses have been adjudicated by an external team of judges who judged entries in accordance with marketing strengths, financial strength, innovation, use of technology, entrepreneurial skills, and their business plan.

This year’s finalists are: Rosaleen Coates, Rosaleens Kitchen, Coralstown; Niall Gannon, Gannon Eco, Split Hill Quarries, Ballinagore; Spectrum Signs, Rosemary Greene and Paul King, Diskin Centre, Athlone; and Alan Heaney, Efficient Farm Solutions Ltd, Mullingar Industrial Estate.

The annual county enterprise awards organised by Local Enterprise Office Westmeath gives small businesses an opportunity to showcase the achievement of micro businesses in the county.
