Local Enterprise Office Westmeath are hosting a morning information event on September 30 at 10am in the Radisson Blu, Athlone, for both people already in business and those thinking of starting up a business to address any questions they may have.
There will be a number of Government agencies present with information stands to speak with people including Solas, Local Enterprise Office, Enterprise Ireland, Micro Finance Ireland, Department of Social Protection, Intreo and Employment Services, Westmeath Community Development, Westmeath County Council, Patents Office, and Intertrade Ireland. The agencies will be able to answer any questions you may have about key regulations and assistance available to your business.
There will also be a number of Local Enterprise Office mentors available to advise people on accessing finance, investigating a business, grant aids, and marketing.
Pearce Flannery will give a motivational keynote address to the event. Hehas extensive experience of corporate management having worked in industry and climbed to the role of managing director in a multinational organisation with a turnover in excess of €150 million in 2000.
On embarking on his successful career as an entrepreneur he has established a number of successful businesses and has been recognised with the following awards for his achievements in this regard: Young Entrepreneur of the Year - Pricewaterhouse Coopers; Marketing person of the Year - Marketing Institute of Ireland; Emerging Business Personality of the Year - IMI and Ireland’s Top 100 Entrepreneurs - Irish Times and Irish Entrepreneur magazine. He will share his experiences and ‘Moonshine’ philosophy.
