Leading high street retailer Argos is looking for 10 seasonal workers in Athlone to join existing store teams in the run-up to the peak Christmas shopping season. Argos is recruiting 500 seasonal workers in total across the Republic of Ireland for the Christmas period.
Extra customer advisors will be joining existing Argos staff to ensure thousands of wish lists are fulfilled in time for the big day, with toys, video games, tablets, and phones expected to be popular with customers this year.
As well as in-house training, new team members will receive competitive rates of pay and immediate benefits of 10 per cent staff discount at Argos to help with Christmas shopping. Contracts for the customer advisor roles are for part-time positions until the end of the Christmas period.
Andy McClelland, operations manager, Argos Republic of Ireland said: “As we approach our busiest shopping period of the year, we need the extra support in our stores to ensure that we can deliver great service to the hundreds of thousands of customers who shop with us at this time. We are looking for people who are customer-focused, passionate, and enthusiastic to join our teams.”
“Argos has been a traditional part of the Irish Christmas for many years. Our ability to deliver a choice of over 20,000 products for the whole family is why thousands of Irish people visit our stores over the festive period.”
Successful applicants can gain valuable and transferable skills via Argos’ Open Door training system. This enables them to work through retail training modules at work, on the move or from the comfort of their own home using their smartphone, tablet, or PC.
