Lose weight and feel sexy!

I think when most people are honest they would admit that they want to look appealing, that they would like to look and feel attractive and desirable. The kind of aura you give off around your attractiveness very much depends on how you feel about yourself. If you’re carrying excess body weight and feeling sluggish it’s doubtful you’ll be feeling very sexy!

But you can use this negative feeling to create a desire to be all that you can be. The truth is you can beat yourself up with negative feelings, or you can transform them to become the powerhouse you need to create the body you’ve always wanted.

So why does it have to be so hard to lose weight? The truth is it doesn’t! Once you get your psychology right it’s easy to lose weight.

Your brain is divided into two hemispheres. The left side has to do with logic and figures. This side of the brain is extremely useful for following diets. It counts ounces and pounds, calories and points. It uses reason and logic to make decisions. But what’s happening when you find yourself opening the fridge door in the middle of the night and watch helplessly as your hand reaches out to grab that wedge of black forest gateau?

That’s your right brain! You see it’s your right brain that eats. It’s your emotional side and responds to how you feel. Since how you feel is always going to be much stronger than logic and reason, it’s no big surprise when that diet crashes and burns.

Consciousness moves continually from one hemisphere to the other. That’s why we can be cold and logical one minute and emotional and in tears the next. We don’t always eat because we are physically hungry. In fact we seldom wait to let it go that far! When you begin to eat consciously instead of emotionally you take control over your eating habits. Eating can become something that is genuinely enjoyable again instead of a guilt trip. Food is not the enemy. It is a necessary part of your life. It can be savoured and enjoyed and you can lose weight in the process. Imagine being able to eat whatever you want whenever you want and still be in control of your weight. Well you can! When you change your relationship with food from one of slavery to one of control you can lose those pounds, wear what you like, and feel sexy too!
