Sunday January 25 sees Carmel Sheerin & The Ravens perform in the Grand Hotel, Moate. If their recent Christmas concert in Bog Lane Theatre in Ballymahon is anything to go by, then this is a night not to be missed.
If you appreciate quality music playing, together with amazing vocals, then Carmel Sheerin & The Ravens will not disappoint. This band simply gets better and better with each performance. They are busy preparing for their return to the States this autumn where they will be headlining some prestigious Bluegrass festivals during their stay.
The band will be performing tracks from their new album and will have copies on sale on the night. The new album Here with You consists of 12 songs, eight of which are original tracks penned by Danny (acoustic guitar and vocals ) and Dessie (double bass and backing vocals ) Sheerin. The new album was recorded in the studio of the much acclaimed producer Bil Vorndick (Nashville Tennessee ), and includes a guest vocal appearance from Tim O'Brien, Bluegrass Male Vocalist of the Year 2006.
