Fantastic mid-week specials from the award winning Fatted Calf

The multi-award winning bar and restaurant in Glasson, The Fatted Calf, was recently voted best gastropub in Leinster 2014 as part of the Restaurant Association of Ireland awards. This is the second time The Fatted Calf has scooped this prestigious award, having won in 2012. Voted best casual dining restaurant in Ireland 2014 by Georgina Campbell and also being named as one of the top 100 restaurants in Ireland by McKenna Guides (formerly The Bridgestone Guide ) it’s clear the gastropub is going from strength to strength. And with dedicated staff and loyal customers, they are sure to continue with this success.

Open since April 2010, their philosophy has been to focus on the importance of fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients - changing their menu to reflect this - and to deliver the highest quality food at the right price to customers.

Their midweek supper menu is proving very popular, and with two courses for €20, it’s no wonder. This special is available all night Wednesday and Thursday and until 7pm on Fridays.

The next Fatted Calf Beef Club Dinner takes place on Friday July 25 at 8pm. The Beef Club Dinner is a five-course meal, which is run quarterly, and which showcases the finest cuts of Irish beef, presented by Allan Morris of John Stone Fine Food, and matched with wines specially selected by master sommelier Gareth Keogh of Wines Direct.
