Lucan based Hermitage Medical Clinic is looking for nursing staff as it continues to develop and expand its services.
This modern facility, which now employs 500 employees, has been undergoing an intensive development plan over the past few years and has recently opened the first CyberKnife Centre in Ireland.
Mary Shore, head of nursing and clinical services, Hermitage Medical Clinic, says the hospital is seeking to recruit experienced nurses, to join its surgical, neurosurgery, orthopaedic, and medical in-patient care and day care units as well as nurses with intensive care and cardiac care and PACU experience. She adds that permanent, fixed term, full-time, and part-time nursing roles are available.
The 101-bed hospital provides a full range of medical and surgical care across a range of specialities, with over 150 consultants working onsite. It also has 25 day-beds and seven operating theatres. The hospital’s services have achieved international recognition.
Ms Shore says, “A modern, progressive, and pleasant working environment attracts highly qualified nursing staff, with flexible working hours and free staff car-parking among the benefits at the hospital”.
Hermitage is also firmly established in the field of clinical education. It has partnered with Royal College of Surgeons Ireland, University College Dublin, and Trinity College Dublin medical degree programmes, as well as Dundalk Institute of Technology’s nursing degree.
Ms Shore says students are provided with clinical training placements and given opportunities to work across all areas of the hospital.
“We are very supportive of ongoing education and have a structured programme in place. Each nurse is involved in developing a portfolio of learning,” she says.
