To celebrate Ireland’s 2014 second vehicle registration period, Opel Ireland is offering a five-year warranty and attractive finance packages from 4.9 per cent APR on all Opel models or just €150 per month for the Opel Corsa, €220 for Mokka or Astra, and €260 for the Insignia.
Customers can also expect to see that all prices of Opel’s vehicles remain unchanged from 2013’s. Furthermore, to celebrate the new registration term, Opel is also offering a complimentary three year service care plan which will ensure that the ongoing cost of owning an Opel is minimal.
Commenting to the Advertiser on Opel’s 142 campaign, Dave Sheeran, managing director of Opel Ireland said; “We recognise that buying a new car is a decision consumers approach cautiously. That’s why we’re offering our models with the same prices as last year matched with an attractive offer that provides outstanding value for money and focuses on reducing the ongoing cost of ownership.”
Under Opel’s three year care plan the complete cost of standard servicing is free. This includes all parts and labour, with the exception of normal wear tear on items such as tyres and brake pads. And customers can also avail of a free annual health check for their vehicle. This ensures that all your servicing needs are covered, giving you peace of mind over your first years of ownership and reduces the cost of ownership. The car manufacturer says that there are no hidden costs and each new Opel will be maintained and serviced by trained technicians which will also retain the vehicle’s resale value.
This year Opel’s focus in the passenger car market is on new engines and also on the new Adam Rocks. Meanwhile on the commercial vehicles side Opel also welcomes the second generation Vivaro to its portfolio.
Last year Opel announced a major renewal of its powertrain portfolio, with the introduction of three entirely new engine families. This has now come to fruition in the all-new 1.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine in the Astra Hatchback, Saloon, and Sports Tourer. This engine brings cutting-edge technologies and class-leading performance and most importantly increased fuel economy. Prices for the Astra 1.6CDTi S hatchback model starts from €21,995, €22,495 for the saloon ,and €23,195 for the Sports Tourer version.
Meanwhile this September will also see the introduction of a brand new mini-crossover, the Opel Adam Rocks. This model combines the joy of driving under an open sky with the fun of an adventure-loving appeal of a utility vehicle. Making its debut will be another new compact power unit: the 1-litre EcoTec direct injection turbo engine. This engine will be available in a 115hp power output and sets a new standard in three-cylinder engines in terms of noise and vibration suppression, as well as comfort. Then there is the nippy little lifestyle vehicle’s unmistakable design, with a unique swing top canvas roof - and the advanced IntelliLink infotainment system. The Adam Rocks will offer the full range of innovative entertainment, navigation, and connectivity options.
The second generation Vivaro combines the functionality of a light commercial vehicle and the advantages of an “office on wheels” with the comfort and attractive appearance of a passenger car. Highlights include an increased load capacity, Opel’s praised IntelliLink infotainment and intuitive navigation system, and its new and extremely fuel efficient turbo diesel engines. Available in a 90hp or 140hp variant the new Vivaro’s fuel-consumption is reduced as low as 5.7 l/100 km and CO2 emissions down to 149 g/km. and Opel points out that these are among the best figures in its segment, benefiting owners’ wallets as well as the environment.
In addition to their 142 campaign, Opel offer a three day test drive programme, called Experience Opel. The car manufacturer says that this gives customers the opportunity to fully experience their design, German engineering, and outstanding value that is offered on every Opel model.
