New play swinging its way to Roscommon

Roscommon Arts Centre is delighted to welcome back Fishamble: The New Play Company with their production of Swing, a new show about dancing, music, and love - and not settling, and being brave, and having doubts, and giving it a lash, and trying your best! With rock and roll music, it’ll make you want to dance! Winner of the Bewley’s Little Gem Award at Dublin Fringe Festival 2013, Swing comes to Roscommon on Thursday July 17 at 8pm.

This is a charming play about the relationship between May and Joe which develops through swing classes. During the year, they must deal with romantic dilemmas, career problems, and life choices - not to mention other participants in the class!

Starring Steve Blount and Janet Moran who have appeared in TV shows such as Love/Hate, Moone Boy, Game of Thrones, and The Clinic, Swing is an uplifting show that will leave you with a smile on your face and a spring in your step, the perfect summer show!

Ever wanted to learn how to swing? Here is your chance. Catherine Donnelly is offering free taster classes to anyone coming to see Swing on July 17 from 5.30pm in Roscommon Arts Centre. Places are reserved for ticket holders to the show and early booking is advised as places are limited. Book now at the box office.
