For the past two years, Trailer Park has paid modest homage to the humble caravan, the glittering airstream, the vaudeville circus van... Earlier this year they opened their doors a couple of inches to see if there was anyone out there who wanted to get involved, to bring their own caravan or mobile home dream to life, and host it at the Electric Picnic. One hundred and twenty lunatics responded, and they drafted in artist Guggi to help choose which ones to take a gamble on. Trailer Park now offers a home for people with steam coming out of their ears and a constant stream of impractical but passionate ideas about how the world could be. Out of the 13 winners we have a Westmeath artist, Patsy Preston! Steampunk Time Machine by Patsy Preston - you can delve into a world of themed adventure at the Steampunk Time-Machine trailer. Let’s take a journey to else when! Step on board the pedal - powered Time Machine, where your energetic actions will activate this cunning device, transporting you and your friends to your chosen destination in another time. Patsy Preston is a visual artist based in Westmeath. She works in many mediums; her paintings and sculpture can be found in private and corporate collections. She has been artist-in-residence in the Midlands Amenity Park at Dún na Sí in Moate and has been artistic director of Festival of the Fires since its inception in 2009.
