Volkswagen records 38 per cent van sales increase

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles tells us that it has made a strong start to 2014 with sales from the first quarter up 38 per cent compared to the same period last year. The group sold a total of 1,133 vehicles in the period ending March 2014.

Commenting on the results, Niall Phillips, head of sales and marketing, said, “These results are a phenomenal achievement and indicate that the Irish economy is moving towards recovery. Many of our sales so far this year have come from small businesses and demonstrate that they are confident of increasing sales and a strong year ahead.”

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles also announced that for the remainder of the 141 plate it is offering zero per cent APR on all Transporters until the end of June 2014.

Commenting Niall Phillips said: “Due to customer demand we are re-introducing zero per cent finance from Volkswagen Bank on Transporter vans. We are also offering exceptional offers across the full range of Volkswagen commercial vehicles including the best-in-class Caddy van, Crafter vans and the award-winning pick-up, the Volkswagen Amarok.”
