Athlone is set to benefit from a national jobs announcement made by secutiry solutions firm PhoneWatch on Wednesday.
A spokesperson for PhoneWatch said that “around 10” new jobs can be expected to come onboard at the company’s new Athlone office and is part of a greater 230 jobs announcement which will see the operations expand across the country. It is believed that recruitment is already underway for sales, engineering, and operations roles associated with the new office network for Athlone, Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Limerick, and Galway.

We have exciting and ambitious plans for growth in the Irish market and this new investment will help us realise that ambition. Our strong regional presence will also be strategically important to us as we introduce innovative new products and services to the Irish market and continue to grow our business here.”
The company formerly known as Eircom Phonewatch was acquired by Norwegian company Sector Alarm Corporation last year.
