Dubarry Park hosts a vital Ulster Bank League Division 1B encounter this Saturday afternoon when Buccaneers entertain Blackrock College.
Buccaneers have made rapid progress in recent months, but tomorrow’s match will be tough as Blackrock need to get a result themselves to ease relegation worries. Dungannon are the current basement boys, while Dublin University and Malone are also below Blackrock, who will be striving to post a positive result in the Midlands too.
Injury rules out Buccs’ Conor Kindregan, but the return to fitness of James Tormey and Alex Hayman is encouraging. Buccs were smashing in the second half at Stevenson Park in Dungannon earning a 38-10 bonus point win.
Dungannon were all honest intent early on, but despite all of the home pressure a Jack Carty penalty had the match tied at 3-3 after 16 minutes. That is how the score stayed until the interval, but Buccs seized the initiative when the action recommenced.
Tries from Callum Boland (2 ), Kolo Kiripati, Shane Layden, and Steve McAuley combined with five Carty conversions ensured Buccs made the long journey home armed with the full complement of spoils.
