The relaunch of the new and improved Glendeer Pet Farm will take place next Saturday April 5.
Glendeer Pet Farm, Drum, Athlone has had a facelift. Not only have there been some new buildings developed for the animals, but there are also some new amenities to be enjoyed by young and old.
There is a new indoor soft play area for the toddlers and an octagon indoor sand pit area for the younger kids.
The older kids can enjoy the new maze in the large outdoor play area. And coming soon to Glendeer is the double obstacle course where kids can race each other through various obstacles, finishing with a zip line to the end; even the competitive parents will want to get in on this action!
A visit to Glendeer Pet Farm is an interactive experience where people can feed, pet, and hold some of the animals. Glendeer is suitable for any weather as there are indoor and outdoor picnic and play areas. A large selection of the animals are also undercover and while the children are cuddling the puppies, the adults can relax in the coffee shop with fresh coffee/tea and homemade treats.
There is also a lovely secluded six acre nature trail adjacent to the old farm yard and cottage which is a nice relaxing walk.
Glendeer is open every day from April 5 - September 28, Monday - Saturday 11am-6pm and Sunday 12-6pm. Admission: Adults €8 and children €8 (under 18 months are free ).
