Folk-reggae band announce Athlone date

Irish folk-reggae six-piece The Barley Mob bring their ecstatic live show for one night only to Harveys in Athlone on Saturday March 29.

This gig is highly anticipated- their positive vibe singalong anthems such as ‘You’ll Never Be Lost When You’ve Got Music’ and ‘Stand Up, Rise Up’ have been a highlight of the big entertainment factor this band carries. Harveys will be kitted out with a top-of-the-range sound system just for the gig, and a special stage has been built, especially for the band.

With over 350 shows to their credit since forming in 2010, and over 60,000 views on YouTube, the band have been widely acclaimed for their live performances. Over the last three years they have built a large and growing fan base from playing in the smallest venues to the largest festivals including Electric Picnic, Knockanstockan, Sligo Live, Dublin City Soul Festival, and Boomtown Fair (UK ) as well as performances on RTÉ Radio One, FM104, and Phantom 105.2.

The Barley Mob are a highly regarded band among their music peers, receiving support from legends such as Damien Dempsey and Aslan.

Advance tickets are available in Harveys, Lloyds Lane, Athlone for €7.
