Rail Theatre Group asks you to Run For Your Wife!

This March Mullingar Arts Centre adds comedy to their spring line-up, but not just any comedy, possibly the funniest comedy ever written as Mullingar’s Rail Theatre Group take on Ray Cooney’s hilarious Run For Your Wife!

Running in the Mullingar Arts Centre from March 6-8, Run For Your Wife sees Dublin taxi driver John Smith juggle two homes, two lives, and two wives.

Confused? Don’t worry because it will all come together in this hilarious collection of mistaken identities. You will laugh till it hurts and then laugh some more at this rollicking comic masterpiece.

Playing lothario John Smith is Aidan Ennis. The two clueless women caught in his love triangle are Siobhan Murphy who plays Barbara and Jemma McNamee who plays Mary. With Mary at home in Sutton and Barbara at home in Santry, John’s crazy concoctions spiral out of control as he dodges prying police officers and the press, whilst avoiding a head-on collision between two increasingly frustrated women.

Smith has been juggling Mary and Barbara for years, arousing everything but suspicion. When a bump on the head lands John in casualty, his two addresses get mixed up and he has lots of explaining to do.

Directed by Sean Lynch and assistant director Michelle Elliffe, Ray Cooney’s Run For Your Wife is another fine example of the kind of entertainment we’ve come to expect from Rail Theatre.

Tickets for Run For Your Wife are €12/€10 and are available from the Mullingar Arts Centre on (044 ) 9347777.
