After a record-breaking 2013 at the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone 2014 has a fantastic kick-start with popular song and dance experience Trad on the Prom who will perform a dance spectacular on January 24 and 25.

Trad on the Prom celebrates the passion of Ireland’s past with a contemporary production, featuring world-class music, song, and dance derived from the pulsating energy that has survived from the dawn of Celtic mysticism to become the record-breaking phenomenon it is today.
Suitable for all nationalities, the world class cast features the amazing talents of Máirín Fahy on fiddle and vocals (featured soloist with Riverdance and The Chieftains ). Máirín is joined on stage by her outstanding band including Chris Kelly, Gerard Fahy, and Yvonne Fahy featuring the unique sounds of the bodhran, whistles, uileann pipes, accordions, bouzuki, guitars, keyboards, and much more.
The Trad on the Prom dancers have an astounding 18 world titles between them including current female world champion Clare Greaney and male world champions, Cathal Keaney, Fergal Keaney, Cian Nolan, and Colm Conneely as well as Siobhan Manson, female lead dancer from Riverdance.
