Nollaig na mBan Little Black Dress Luncheon

Set in the idyllic setting of Glasson Country House Hotel on Monday January 6, the Little Black Dress Luncheon is the perfect excuse for ladies to dress up in their favourite black number on a day traditionally known to be the woman of the house’s only day off in the year, and a chance for the ladies to recuperate after the busy festive season.

The Little Black Dress themed luncheon begins with a drinks reception at 12.30pm, with a four-course lunch served overlooking Lough Ree at 1pm. Best-selling Irish author Cathy Kelly is special guest on the day. Cathy is the UNICEF Ireland ambassador and is also known for her influential words on empowering women through her books and public speaking.

Ladies are encouraged to have a bit of fun with the Little Black Dress theme by adding a splash of yellow to their outfits, bringing a quirky and fun element to the event - all with the intention of being a talking piece around the dinner table while incorporating the Simon trademark colours. A special prize will be presented by Cathy Kelly for the most unique splash of yellow on the day.

This is a great opportunity for the Midlands Simon Community to show the public that they are very proud of who they are and the work they do. They hope the success of this event will allow them to make it an annual event.

Tickets, priced €40, are available from the Midlands Simon office in Athlone and Midlands Simon shops in Tullamore and Athlone. They may also be purchased in Glasson Country House Hotel, Printing.com in St Mary’s Square, Athlone, and from Colm on (087 ) 9925083 or Irene on (087 ) 9601200.
