Grovelands Childcare celebrated the 10th anniversary of their centre at the IDA Business Park with a special tree lighting ceremony and festive reunion on Tuesday.
Pre-school graduates who attended the centre over the past 10 years were special guests at the event which was also attended by the Mayor of Athlone Gabrielle McFadden who officially turned on the lights on the Grovelands Childcare tree of light.
Mince pies, mulled wine, and fairy lights added a fun, festive atmosphere to the birthday celebrations. Parents, graduates, and current pupils sang carols as children placed their beautiful handmade Christmas decorations on the tree.
Regina Bushell, managing director, said, “We would like to say a big thank you to all of those who have supported us over the past ten years. We have a wonderful group of parents and children attending our centre - it is a pleasure to see them each day. It is also thanks to the hard work and dedication of our team, some of who have been with us for the past 10 years, that we are still going strong today.”
Grovelands Childcare was recently named as Best Multiple Crèche in the Maternity and Infant awards 2013.
