Athlone’s Gateway Project is looking for young people aged six to 16 who are interested in helping them to raise funds for the Youth Booth Youth Cafe to pop in for a night of pumpkin carving on October 24 and 29 from 5.30-7.30pm.
Buy a pumpkin and let the young people/staff of the Gateway Project teach you to carve your pumpkin into a most gruesome and monstrous Hallowe’en face for just €7. All materials will be supplied.
On Hallowe’en night the Gateway project will host the perfect Hallowe’en treat for little monsters.
There will be magic, music, face painting, a Hallowe’en cupcake sale, pumpkin carving, circus skills, nail painting, mask making, Hallowe’en games, wicked witch competition, and much more.
The Gateway Project runs a drop-in youth café on a Friday evening from 3.30-7pm for all young people from 14 years of age in St Mary’s Hall, Northgate Street. The Youth Booth Café provides a fun and relaxed environment, where young people can avail of pool, band rehearsal space, and use of the Wii, sports, and kitchen facilities all of which are free of charge.
