Anastasia Steele, meet your Irish match. Fifty Shades of Grey is getting a - very - Irish makeover, as Fifty-one Shades of Maggie comes to the Mullingar Arts Centre.
Direct from sell-out runs in Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin, smash hit comedy Fifty-one Shades of Maggie is coming to the Mullingar Arts Centre on October 25 and 26.
Written by Irish writer and single mum Leesa Harker, Maggie Muff’s journey began as a one-chapter, comic, erotic novel circulated on Facebook. Within a few days there were already 15,000 people following the racy story.
From its online exposure, Maggie’s adventure eventually became a popular novel and from there, the runaway stage sensation Fifty-one Shades of Maggie.
With Irish actress Emma Barry installed in the lead role, Fifty-one Shades Of Maggie is the story of lovable Maggie Muff an ordinary Dublin girl with attitude, looking for love, who thinks she knows what she wants in a man.
Unfulfilled after a number of failed relationships she is called in by the dole and meets the man of her dreams, Mr Big and his private room of pain.
But, is he really the man of her dreams, will all the pain be worth it, will he whisk her off to a fairytale ending or, will it all end in tears?
This is the perfect girly night out - prepare for the funniest, sexiest, and maybe dirtiest show of 2013.
Please note due to the strong language and themes of an adult nature this show is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 16.
Tickets for Fifty-one Shades of Maggie are €20 and are available from the Mullingar Arts Centre by calling (044 ) 9347777.
