Cunningham’s Pharmacy Monksland has made it into the top 100 stores in this year’s Retail Excellence Awards.
The Retail Excellence Ireland Awards were set up 17 years ago to applaud the best operators in the world of Irish retail. The glittering awards programme is the largest and most prestigious event in the Irish retail calendar.
Paying tribute to the hardworking staff at the pharmacy, owner Paul Cunningham said, “It is a great honour to have got to this stage of the competition. I would like in particular to pay tribute to manager Kevin and all the staff - Marie, Dora, Sinead, Kayleigh, Pauline, Laura, and Aoife. We got to this point in the competition following a rigorous store assessment involving mystery shoppers. At the heart of this was a lot of hard work in getting the shop to look its best and as always putting the needs of our customers to the forefront of everything we do.”
The pharmacy now progresses to stage two of the competition, when store assessors will again be back to see who will make it into this year’s finals.
