Toyota tells us that the 11th generation version of the world’s best-selling car, the Corolla, will go on sale here at the end of July.
The all-new Corolla inherits 47 years of Corolla DNA, building on the model’s legendary quality, durability and reliability, while offering a significant step change in its design. Toyota say it also offers best in class fuel economy, enhanced driving dynamics, and upgraded safety features.
The Corolla’s exterior design embodies the evolution of Toyota’s new design language with a more sophisticated and contemporary look. On the inside, the new Corolla has an enhanced rear passenger environment with increased rear legroom. The latter is thanks to a wheelbase which has been extended by 100mm.
Toyota say that the new Corolla also features more comfortable seats and increased luggage capacity. Drivers will also benefit from an improved ergonomic positioning and easy intuitive operability of all switchgear and instrumentation.
The new Corolla also features a myriad of in-car technology including the second generation of the Toyota Touch, a 6.1” full colour, touch-screen multimedia system with a rear reversing camera and Bluetooth.
Toyota claims that in keeping with its position as having the lowest fleet-wide CO2 in Europe, the Corolla has a revised, Euro 5+ compliant engine line-up with best in class fuel economy and CO2 emissions. More on the new Corolla closer to the launch date.
