Delight in the music of John O’Shea

John O’Shea is quickly establishing himself as one of Ireland’s best young musicians. Having studied for many years with Michael O’Toole at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, John went on to complete his studies with a Masters in Guitar Performance at the USC Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles - one of the world’s leading guitar schools.

At USC, John studied with Scott Tennant, founding member of the Grammy award winning Los Angeles Guitar Quartet and under the tutelage of Maestro Pepe Romero.

John has also taken lessons with many of the world’s most famous guitarists including David Russell, Paul Galbraith, Oscar Ghiglia, and Xuefei Yang.

John has given numerous recitals in Ireland, the UK, and the United States and has performed as soloist and featured artist for the Irish Composers Collective and RTÉ Concert Orchestra. John is currently working on an album of his own arrangements of Irish music and tutors full time in guitar at Limerick School of Music.
